MISSION & GOALS

• Provides a venue for public officials to confer with ALDOT representatives about transportation issues, especially the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and 5-Year Plan.
  
• Provides comprehensive information about transportation projects and processes.
  
• Provides an avenue for the public in rural areas to become involved in the transportation planning process.
  
• Assists rural communities to develop a long-range vision for transportation based on identified issues and needs.
