RACIAL COMPOSITION

The Birmigham region consists of a wide range of residents. Racially, white residents make up the largest percentage with 69%, followed by Black or African American residents with 28%. The remaining categories including American Indian, Asian, Native Hawiaan, Pacific Islander, and those of Two or More Races, make up 2% of the population. The Hispanic Origin population is estimated to be 3% of the total population.
