Geographic Information Systems

The GIS division is responsible for all information technology requirements and data management for Regional Planning Commission’s (RPC) divisions, as well as services to member governments that include GIS mapping and deployment assistance, redistricting services and site analysis, and demographic and socioeconomic forecasting for the six county region. Additional responsibilities include the following:

• Traffic analysis zone dataset development for traffic modeling
• Mapping and data forecasting for municipal comprehensive and long range planning
• ASDC affiliate and data repository
• GIS Data Development
• GIS Implementation Services
• Alabama Urban and Regional Information Services Association Chapter

Demographic Reports are generally $10 per report. Please email bisom@rpcgb.org for a request.
