JARC/New Freedom Request for Projects
The RCPGB released a Request for Projects on June 29, 2012. This RFP is for projects that improve access to transportation services to employment and employment-related activities for welfare recipients and eligible low-income individuals (JARC). Also, projects that provide additional tools to overcome existing transportation barriers facing individuals with disabilities are eligible (New Freedom). Applications can only be received from private nonprofit organizations, state or local governments, or operators of public transportation services, including private operators of public transportation service.
