The first Alabama Broadband Summit will be held on October 17-19, 2012 at The Marriot Legends at Capitol Hill in Prattville, Alabama. Sponsored in part by Alabama Partners for Telehealth, a new organization with a focus on increasing access to healthcare through innovative technology, ConnectingALABAMA will provide you with updates on the Broadband efforts currently taking place in our state while giving you an opportunity to discuss plans for future endeavors. Formed under the Alabama Broadband Initiative established by Governor Bob Riley in May 2008, Connecting ALABAMA has been busy mapping connectivity, developing regional plans, and developing education programs to advance broadband in the State by working with you or your representative in the communities.
