Senior Employment Services

SERVICES AREAS: Residents, residing in Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair, Walker counties and the City of Birmingham are eligible. Each of these areas is allocated slots based on a statewide equitable distribution formula that considers number of applicants 55 and older, and those in the area that have an income at or below poverty. Information to determine these factors are derived from the US Census reports.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENROLLMENT: Eligible applicants must be age 55 or older at enrollment, income cannot exceed 125% of the Federal Poverty Level.

PROJECTS Senior Employment Programs are funded by the United States Department of Labor, under Title V of the Older American Act.
